Hepatitis VS HIV/Aids
Hepatitis is a disease that one in three people have been exposed to and yet the awareness and knowledge of the disease remains very low. Not that many people actually know about Hepatitis or what it actually is. HIV, for example, is a disease that has a very high awareness level and many people know about it, how you can get it, how you can avoid it, where to get tested for it etc.
There is a
lot of information about HIV/Aids. But did you know that Hepatitis actually
infects over 10 times the number of people that get infected with HIV/Aids. It
makes you wonder why this disease doesn’t get talked about or why people don’t
know much about it.
One in
Twelve people on our planet are living with Hepatitis and most don’t actually
know. There is now a campaign running in order to help promote awareness for
this disease. You can find out more information by signing up at http://www.aminumber12.org and
supporting the patient groups that are campaigning for this cause.
